WEATHER-TITE offers 3 basic log siding products with numerous size and surface variations available in each line.

All of the log siding products are attached in a similar method to a standard sheathed, studded wall-- interior or exterior.

We recommend that a 3 1/4" non-corrosive fastener be toe-nailed through the outside edge (1" from edge) of the siding product into each stud, top and bottom.  Most installers use a screw- counter sunk approximately 1/8".

The spacing between siding boards can vary depending on the desired chink width.  i.e. 1-2"



WANE EDGE LAP SIDING

Our Wane Edge Lap siding is manufactured with a sawn/square top edge, back bevel on top edge and a variable true wane on the lower edge.

Installation of our product would be similar to installation of other lap products.  Expect to average 8-9" of reveal per board.

We recommend an inch of overlap,  fastened using a non-corrosive 3 1/4" nail or screw through the face of the top piece approximately 1 1/2" above the lower wane edge.  The fastener should not go through the upper part of the board being covered.  This will allow for any expansion or contraction during the life of the siding. 

This product has been dried to near 12% moisture, resulting in very little movement after installation.
